Privacy policy

Short version: no account, no tracking ads, and no copies of your videos on our servers.
What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number. We don’t store the videos you download: files go from the platform to your device.
What we log
For each link we record anonymous statistics: which site it was (for example “facebook”), whether it worked, the error type if it failed, the page language, your country (from the network, not GPS) and how long it took. We don’t store your IP address with these statistics.
We keep the result for a link in a short-lived cache (about 15 minutes) so the same link loads faster for the next person. Download links we create expire after about an hour.
Abuse protection
To stop bots, we count requests per IP address in temporary counters that delete themselves within a day. If a connection sends a very large number of requests we may ask for a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which is covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Stored in your browser
Your theme choice, that you closed the cookie notice, and your last five links (so you can open them again). These stay on your device. You can clear them any time from your browser settings, or with the Clear button under Recent links.
Hosting
The website runs on our own servers. We don’t sell or share data with advertisers. If we add ads in the future, we will update this page first.
Children
Video iMate is not aimed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
